Subcommittees are a core operational structure within Cyprus Innovation Technologies—collaborative groups of Board members and subject-matter experts formed to drive the organisation’s initiatives forward. Through focused initiatives in regulation, blockchain, AI, international standards, and community engagement, these committees help advance CyIT’s mission to shape Cyprus’s tech innovation landscape.

Purpose
To proactively monitor, analyse, and influence the legal and regulatory landscape affecting blockchain, AI, and other emerging technologies within Cyprus and the broader European ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Continuously track national and EU legal and policy developments impacting emerging technologies Prepare and circulate regulatory updates, memos, and guidance to members Develop proposals and engage with authorities to support innovation-friendly frameworks Contribute to consultations, legislative reviews, and digital strategy dialogues Publish white papers, policy briefs, and guides on best practices

Committee
Purpose
To explore and advance the adoption of Artificial Intelligence in enterprises by identifying practical, high-impact applications across various industries and promoting responsible innovation

(ISO) Committee
Purpose
To monitor, interpret, and promote awareness of international standards—particularly ISO standards—relevant to emerging technologies such as blockchain, AI, cybersecurity, and data governance

Track ISO and international standard developments and updates Analyze impacts on compliance, interoperability, and risk management Brief members through webinars, guides, and explanatory content Promote alignment with global certification frameworks Advocate in standard-setting discussions to represent Cyprus’s tech sector

Committee
Purpose
